While in Toronto on the last weekend of September, we had a break from Blue Jays games and met up with LO’s Godmother, Aunty Bibi. It had been a while since Bibi had seen LO so this was exciting for both of them. Also we were headed to a farm with goats, much to Bibi’s liking (what can I say, the lady loves goats!).
Did you know that right in the middle of the city of downtown Toronto there is a farm?
Riverdale Farm is a city owned farm with some cool history. It is free to go there and has the normal farm animals you can see. What is different though is that they also have great walking paths and beautiful gardens that are all maintained by the city.
So if you are ever looking for a free family thing to do, pack a picnic basket and go enjoy a nice visit to a farm with lots of shady spots to sit and fun things for you and your children to see!
Also if you have some spare change, put in a couple bucks in the donation box at the entrance. We had a bunch of change, so all together it came to $5.45.
