This is the second of three, yes three segments of my chicken and crock pot endeavors and this one is just as easy as last weeks!
The list of ingredients is the following;
- 1/2 bottle of ranch dressing
- 1/2 bottle of hot sauce
- 12 chicken drumsticks (I had 18)
All you need to do is layer the drumsticks into the crock pot, pour half a bottle of hot sauce and half a bottle of ranch dressing into the crock pot.
Turn the crock pot on high and wait 3 hours (low for 6 hours), or occupy yourself as I did with my tomato seedlings. It was time to move them into bigger pots!
After the 3 hours is done (I had done 3 1/2 hours), take as much of the sauce out of the crock pot and like last week, put it onto the stove top on high to reduce (I thought it would be a little too hot for low so I added another 1/4 cup of Kraft Ranch Dressing). Make sure your crock pot is turned to warm to keep the drumsticks hot – remember to put the lid back on!
After about 15 minutes of reducing and thickening the sauce, turn the crock pot off and removed the drumsticks. I put them into a baking dish because I had so many and then transferred them to plates as I served them.
This meal would have been nice with a beer, but I didn’t have any on hand. Oh well!
