fast prep friday – stuffed french toast


Another Friday means more food posts. I heard that this stuffed french toast stuff is delicious. I decided to try it for myself.

The first morning I got 5 hamburger buns, strawberries and blueberries.


I sliced up the strawberries and placed them on each bun except one. I then put the blueberries in the microwave for 30 seconds and mashed them with a fork. Almost like a very chunky paste. Add that to the buns with the strawberries.

Now all that needs to be done is the French toast part. Take two eggs – crack them into a bowl, add a splash of milk and beat them. Dip both sides of the hamburger buns into the egg mixture and add them to a heated frying pan (I had the pan heated to medium).

Cook on both sides and plate them when done. Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve with maple syrup.


To be honest OH liked this way better than I did. It was a bit sweet for me so the next day I made it again. This time it was Stuffed French Toast BLTs. Instead of using syrup I made a chipotle balsamic mayo dip. I enjoyed it way better.
